Ready. Set. Sail. On September 21st, Wilkins Buick GMC will be sponsoring the Annapolis Hospice Cup. This annual event raises funds and awareness for hospice programs by hosting a sail boat race, known as the Hospice Cup. To date, the Hospice Cup raised over $8 million for hospices throughout Maryland, D.C. and Northern Virginia. This year, the regatta race will raise funds specifically for Pediatric Hospice care and support. Hospice programs are designed to provide quality, end-of-life care to those who are in need. This event works hard to educate the public about hospices and the importance of these facilities.
Located near Thomas Point Light House in Annapolis, Maryland, the race will set sail on September 21st at 11am. The race is open to anyone who loves to sail. Whether you are an experienced sailor or a first-timer, this event is for you. There is even an option to participate in the Hospice Class, which is a non-competitive sailing lesson! Guests are encouraged to watch the regatta race on the spectator boat provided.
After the Race:
Immediately following the Hospice Cup, there will be a Shore Party including music, a buffet, open bar, and a silent auction—all raising money for this great cause! Tickets for the Shore Party are on sale now for $85 per person. The after race Shore Party will take place on the bay from 3pm-8pm on September 21st.
Wilkins Buick GMC understands the importance of these great hospice programs and would like to help spread the awareness. For more information on hospice programs and the Hospice Cup, visit www.hospicecup.org.
