Grant A Wish For Our Heroes, Support The USO

“There are some who’ve forgotten why we have a military. It’s not to promote war, it’s to be prepared for peace.”-President Ronald Reagan.

Support the USO!

With Veterans Day this weekend, the elections finally over, and the holiday season approaching, we here at Wilkins Automotive realize it’s time to show our support of the heroes who protect our country every day. Each year, Subaru hosts the Share the Love event to reach out to certain charity groups. This year, we’ve decided to support the United Service Organizations (USO), a private, nonprofit and non-partisan organization who’s mission is to “lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families.”

We’ll soon release details on which event we’ve chosen to support, but for now we’d like to focus on how you can help the USO this Veterans Day.  Grant a Wish for Our Heroes is an opportunity to show your appreciation for the exemplary service given by our nation’s servicemen and women. Here’s what they’re saying on the USO website:

“Over the next month, we will highlight how the USO lifts the spirits of troops and their families by providing morale boosts in many ways. Whether it is keeping deployed servicemen and women connected to their families or making a troop’s time in theater a little more comfortable or supporting returning wounded, ill and injured troops as they work to recover, the USO remains steadfast in delivering goodness to our nation’s military and its families.”

If you’d like to contribute and “grant a wish for our heroes”, no gift is too small. Donate $25, $50, $100, even $5 is appreciated! You can also stop by Wilkins Automotive’s tent at the 6th Annual Veterans Appreciation Car Show this weekend to find out more about the USO and how our team will be getting involved! Thanks for your support!
